How to Really Make the Most Out of Pinterest as a Bride-to-Be

If you have already started planning your wedding, you probably want to create something truly one-of-a-kind. Something that will stick to people’s memory years from now. Something that represents you and your personality.

Thankfully, with the endless sources of inspiration available online right now, you can actually do that – and Pinterest can be a great tool when it comes to it. It is, however, quite important that you use this platform to your advantage, rather than allowing the tremendous amount of ideas there confuse you even more.

How to do that? Here are some tips for you:

·        Pay attention to who you follow. The more quality Pinterest boards you follow, the more ideas you will find on your homepage each time you go to Pinterest. Try to only follow well-known boards and users at first, as this will give you a good head-start in your wedding planning process. As you move further with the ideas and your wedding vision starts to be clearer, you can always follow more boards that are interesting to you.

·        Don’t worry about sorting things out at first. The first wedding planning phase is all about dreaming up your Big Day and bringing together all the ideas you like. Once you have everything in place and your wedding vision is fully contoured, you can start making a selection. Beware, though: creating more different boards for every element of your wedding may not be that great of an idea. It’s best to keep everything in one board because this will allow you to see the full big picture.

·        Install the Pinterest button. This will allow you to add any idea you find online to your board and have everything in one place. For instance, if you find a vendor you like and you want to “steal” inspiration from their site, you can pin their pictures to your board and then select the ones you love the most.

·        Pinterest is very popular – but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. Some find it too noisy, and others don’t find much use in it. That’s OK. If Pinterest is just not your thing, there are plenty of other ways to start planning your Big Day!
