The Bell Tower on 34th is a historic wedding venue in Houston: the land at 901 W 34th St in Garden Oaks, near the Houston Heights, carries ties to key figures in Texas history, and the bronze-belled tower Roger Igo built there in 2006 has become a neighborhood landmark. More than 5,000 events since 2009 carry the record.
The historic part of this venue is real and documented. The land where The Bell Tower on 34th sits connects to key figures in Texas history, a story told in full in the book Keep On Going by founder and CEO Roger Igo, and the tower itself, with its bronze bells and intricate carvings, has become one of the recognizable landmarks of the Garden Oaks skyline near the Houston Heights.
Couples who marry here join that story: weddings have run on this property since the venue opened in 2009, more than 5,000 events have been produced since, and the venue remains a working piece of Houston history rather than a museum.
From pioneering Texans to a disastrous betrayal and a fight for the future, Keep On Going chronicles the extraordinary history of The Bell Tower on 34th and the land beneath it. The venue history section on /book tells the story in the venue's own words: an iconic Houston landmark since it was built, unique bronze bells, and a place that has become an integral part of people's lives in this city.
Roger Igo has been president and CEO since 2009, broke ground on the building in 2006, and has been on site every year since. That continuity is part of what makes the venue historic rather than merely old.
History sets the scene; the operation is current. Ceremonies run in the Campanile chapel beneath the tower or at the Waterwall, receptions fill ballrooms rated to 300 guests, and weddings host up to 350 guests. Food is cooked in our own kitchen by Executive Chef Sergio Arellano and his team, and one Event Producer runs the timeline from arrival to send-off.
The Contessa is booked together with the Capital Ballroom and Courtyard as one combination, and the Waterwall pairs with the Campanile Chapel and the Carillon Ballroom as the other.
Every price is all-in: the venue, Chef's cuisine, beverage service, our event team, service charge, and tax. There is no separate venue rental fee. Pricing is per guest: Saturday $230, Friday/Sunday $210, and Monday through Thursday $165.
